Have any of you ever had laser treatment for acne scars or do you know anything about it???
I’m 23 and I’ve had body acne on my back since I hit puberty. It’s pretty bad and I absolutly hate it!!! I can’t wear shirts with open back, unless I cover it with make-up and keep my hair down. Most of the scars are on my lower back. Recently, I’ve been using Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub and it helps a bit, but it won’t take away the scars. I also use cocoa butter sometimes on my back, but I know that it won’t solve the major scars.
I’ve been doing some research and I’ve come to the conclusion that the only way to solve this problem is to get laser treatment for scar removal. I know it’s expensive, but I’m gonna have to charge it and make payments for a while. But this is soooooo important to me, that it will be worth it…I hope! This is the onle thing I wish I could change about myself!
So, what do you know about laser scar removal treatments? How well does it work? What is the price range? How often do you think I will have to go? Does it cause any pain? Side effects?

Laser and microdermabrasion can both work well….peels can sometimes help as well. The better choice is dependent on your skin type and the depth of the scarring. Also, be aware that there are two types of laser treatments. One is called resurfacing which takes off the top layer of skin and the 2nd is rejuvenation which causes collagen regrowth. The 1st gives more dramatic results, quickly but has a longer recovery time and costs more.
Costs can range depending on the size of the area that needs treatment. You can probably expect to pay $350 per Tx and you will need 3-6 treatements to really help. Good luck.

Is derma roller better compare to laser? can derma roller be done over existing acne?
Will doing a light chemical peeling + laser effective in treating acne scars
How is laser surfacing better than derma roller? Can laser surfacing be used over active acne?

The roller (as well as a light chemical peel) won’t work for acne scarring. However, a laser resurfacing will help out.

Fractal Laser Acne Scars Treatment?
Is there any center that does Fractal Laser Acne scar Treatment effectively in chennai or bangalore.
Please share the results info if any one took treatment for them selves and felt happy with treatment…

Fraxel is being promoted as a good solution for acne scarring and pitting. It is also FDA approved for the treatment of acne scars and surgical scars along with skin resurfacing.
After your skin resurfacing procedures, you should wear a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher and avoid direct sun exposure. This is recommended for at least 3 months after your last treatment. You should also wear a wide brimmed hat on extra sunny days.
The standard side effects of Fraxel treatments are redness and swelling and a bronzing effect. Other temporary effects include dry skin flaking or peeling as your skin exfoliates. Some patients experience small breakouts of whiteheads so be sure to ask your dermatologist for medication to clear this flair-up. Noticeable improvements with your acne scarring should ensue.

cosmetics laser treatment for acne scar?
mmm so i have a 2mm scar on my nose which has being there for about 2 years now. Recently i was talking to my friends and they mentioned that laser treatment may do the trick.
i was just wondering if the procedures are complicated and how much it will cost to get rid of a 2mm scar.
and also if there is any other treatments which i could use and the time it takes them to show effect

Laser treatment would be WAY too much and a scar that small isn’t that awful and worth that much money..
I would say go to the pharmacy and ask for a scar fading cream. There are a TON out there so just look and see what you think will work and try one. They also have freckle faders and acne scar fading.. Which is the same thing.
I have heard very good things about these and assume the work pretty well but have not tried it myself… Although I do use coco butter and melt it and put it on scars, stretchmarks, etc. And that works well. Maybe not as fast but it will make a difference & its def a more natural approach!

How much is Laser Treatment for Acne Scars in the PHILIPPINES?
I’ve read of the Fraxel Laser Treatment offered by the Belo Medical Group. Can anyone give me a price range? I have mild to moderate acne scarring.

My cousin from the philippines done it about a year ago….she said she spent like 20,000 PESOS….so she spent about $400 US.
