Your Questions About Best Acne Scar Remedy

Robert asks…

What are some of the best remedies or medications for healing acne scars?

admin answers:

Here is a simple tip that you can use to reduce your acne scars and pigmentation.

The Oil Cleansing Method
What you will need:
Warm Water
Cold Water
Clean Towels
Castor Oil
Olive Oil

The first thing you need to do is to wash your face gently to remove excess dirt and oils from the surface.

You will then need to warm a clean towel in warm water and apply it to your face for 3 minutes. Do the same thing with the cold water but this time for one minute.

Carry out both the warm water and cold water procedure about 3 times but always finish with cold and then pat dry with another clean towel.

Next mix a small amount of castor oil with a small amount of olive oil. A 50/50 ratio will do just fine. Apply the mixture to your skin and let it stay there for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and you are good to go.

What is the best type of make up for acne scar cover up?

Im 17 and have been suffering from acne for about 2 years..well more the scars then the actual bumps. I have Carmel colored skin and my scars are really dark brown. I’ve tried many cremes and even home remedies but they don’t seem to be fading so makeup is my last resort. Ive never worn makeup before so I don’t know much about what to look for. Any help? Btw, im looking for a natural look, just something to even out my skin.

Sandy asks…

best homemade remedies for acne scars please :) ?

looking for a homemade remedies for acne scars

I don’t know how home made the remedy would be, but the best two things I have ever tried were coco butter and glycolic acid. You can buy both at beauty stores for a relatively cheap price but they both work to scrape away the dead skin cells from below in thickest layer of the dermis. This allows the skin on top to be loosened from the layer below ad released from the skin so that your skin is much clearer and the scars are lessened. I don’t think you will be able to find any remedies you can make yourself that will truly work well to remove acne scars.

William asks…

what is the best way to treat discoloration(caused by acne)and acne scars in a brown skinned hispanic male?

I am a 20 year old hispanic male who has had a bad habit of picking at my acne (mainly premature acne), therefore causing brown and dark discoloration and leaving several small to severe scars on my face. I know the best remedy for a scar is time, but i’m young and feel my self confidence is taking a battering due to constant scarring on my face. I am getting out of the habit of touching my face and I am treating the acne with doxycycline and ziana gel. My dermatologist recommends doing a chemical peel that will cost around 300 dollars, I want to do it but am also looking for other options.

ps. the majority of my scars are not deep and fade into my skin within 2 to 3 months, they mostly just make brown spots on my slightly lighter skin

PLEASE HELP!
any advice or recommendations or even any personal experiences would be Greatly Appreciated!!
Thank you

what type of vitamins should i take, i already take vitamin b complex with folic acid and vitamin c for inflamation, and should i just go out and buy zinc supplements, or eat foods high in zinc?

It’s all about AHA.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin with Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) is excellent for your skin. The AHA gently takes off the dead skin layers (over time, usually you can see results in a week or two). If you use this, you shouldn’t exfoliate with a sponge or scrub… The AHA is enough.

If you want pure AHA, go to www.acne.org and get the one on sale there. It’s a great product that I use every day and it has evened my skin tone, gotten rid of my scarring, made my skin softer and prevented more zits. (the Neutrogena is great too and works the same but the one online is cheaper and doesn’t have sunblock (so you can use it at night too).

Two things to know about AHA:
1. It stings and burns when you first apply it. Don’t give up though! It lasts about 10-15 minutes after application and your skin gets used to it within a week. Don’t put it near your eyelids.

2. It makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight. I wear oil-free sunblock during the day, at night I don’t worry about it.

PS: The other’s answers about diet and vitamins are great answers. I’m just suggesting a topical product that worked for me.

I need to find the best home remedy that will help remove acne scars!?

I’ve heard that the best thing would be to apply sandalwood paste and rose water overnight and to wash it off in the morning. The problem is that I am not sure where to find sandalwood paste or the rose water. Someone please help!!
